Meet Sophie

Like many, Sophie was exceptional at her craft but lacked a reliable way to create opportunities. Through IMMA, she skipped months of trial-and-error, found a trusted collaborator, and began pursuing larger, more meaningful projects than either could have won alone.

From uncertainty to momentum: How Sophie built a more sustainable impact business with IMMA.

Lilli Graf
Founder of IMMA Collective

Hello, I’m Lilli

I built IMMA Collective so purpose-driven businesses don’t have to grow alone.

I built a six-figure business in nine months. But building a consistent flow of aligned opportunities in the impact space took much longer. The impact work I wanted to do depended on relationships, trust, visibility, and a network I didn’t yet have.

Running a business means wearing every hat. CEO, CFO, CMO. Every decision yours. Every problem yours. It drains you, and it gets lonely.

What I learned: sustainable growth happens faster when you join forces with people doing meaningful work alongside you.
People who open doors for each other. Who help you see what you can’t see yourself. Who share opportunities, insights, and encouragement when it feels hard to keep going.

The IMMA Philosophy

“When we grow together, we create something far more impactful than any of us could build alone.”

To us, a business is like a garden.
Seeds don’t flourish overnight, but with consistency, the right conditions, and shared care, growth becomes sustainable.

We believe you don’t wait to earn support. You get support so you can build momentum, create opportunities, and stop navigating every dry spell alone.

When your work is clear, rooted in relationships, and consistently visible, aligned opportunities begin to find you.

Build a consistent flow of aligned opportunities. Not by luck. By design.

Two ways into the Collective, depending on how much support you want.
Both help you build a more sustainable business through relationships, visibility, and momentum. One moves at the pace of the Collective. One adds strategic support to help you move faster and taps into the ecosystem for opportunities.
Not sure which one fits? Take the quiz.

Peer membership

When you want steady momentum without carrying business development alone.

Maybe clients have come through referrals. Maybe you’ve been too busy delivering to think much about where the next opportunity comes from. Then a project starts. Visibility drops. Follow-ups slip. Business development gets pushed to “later.” Until the contract ends and you’re back scrambling to rebuild momentum.

Peer Membership helps you break that cycle.
A weekly rhythm where business development happens alongside delivery, with purpose-driven peers who understand the realities of running a business of one. Not on top of your week. Inside it.

You’re a purpose-driven solopreneur, freelancer, or fractional consultant. You don’t need another course you won’t finish or a community on top of your work. You need peers who understand your world, open doors for each other, and help create opportunities that would be difficult to access alone.

Weekly Pipeline Session

Set aside dedicated time each week for outreach, follow-ups, proposals, and relationship-building alongside senior peers. So business development becomes part of your workflow, not something you do when things calm down.

Monthly Reflection & Intention

Reflect on what’s working, set priorities, and connect with others who share similar goals. So you stay intentional, build momentum, and avoid drifting from one opportunity to the next.

Peer Introductions & Cross-Pollination

Meet members who can open doors, share opportunities, and become collaborators. So your network grows through trusted relationships, not just individual effort.

100+ Curated Opportunities Every Month

Access funding calls, contracts, consulting opportunities, grants, RFPs, and collaborations shared across the Collective. So you stay connected to aligned opportunities without constantly searching for them.

Global Access

Most live sessions run across European and US time zones. So you can participate consistently wherever you’re based.

  • Business development is part of your rhythm, not something you squeeze in when work dries up
  • You’re easier to refer because people understand what you do and who you help
  • Opportunities come through relationships you’ve intentionally nurtured
  • The 11pm “where’s the next client coming from?” thought shows up far less often
  • It feels like having trusted colleagues who genuinely want you to succeed
  • “I went from 30% planned capacity to a fully booked month — without the usual scramble.”
  • “I raised my day rate and held the number without flinching.”
  • “For the first time, I’m thinking like someone running a business, not just delivering work.”

Expert membership

A steady flow of the right clients, from a system you own

Most of your work comes from relationships and reputation, not from ads, funnels or chasing volume. You do not need thousands of clients, or even hundreds. You need a steady flow of the smaller number of good clients your business runs on, and a way to create it that does not depend on luck or referrals alone.

Right now those relationships probably live in your head, and getting clients happens in waves: heavy outreach when work dries up, then quiet again when it picks up. In a market that is slower and noisier, you get fewer chances, so every warm relationship matters more. One that goes cold because the follow up never happened is a project you lose to someone else, often a four, five or even six figure one, and most people lose several a year without noticing.

The Expert Membership is where you build your own lead generation system to end that. It grows like a garden rather than running like a machine: you tend it a little each week, and it keeps a steady flow of the right work coming toward you.

This is for experienced, purpose led consultants and solo founders. You want aligned clients who share your values, and a dependable way to bring them in, without becoming a marketer or a salesperson you do not recognise.

It is built to be personalised. Some people lean heavily on AI to run their outreach and pipeline. Others are sceptical of it and prefer to keep things human. Both are welcome, and both build a system that fits them, in the tools they already use, whether that is Notion, Google Sheets or Airtable.

It is hands on, for people who want to build the thing and use it, not watch videos and collect templates. That is the line between Peer and Expert: Peer gives you the knowledge and the community, Expert is where you build the system with the experts beside you.

Over twelve weeks you build your own lead generation system, together with our experts.

We start by mapping what you already have and what already works for you, then design and build the system around that, in your own tools.

The heart of it is that it is designed around you. Together we work out which way of generating leads actually fits your clients, your strengths and how you like to work, then we build exactly that. That is why it cannot be one size fits all.

What we make sure of by the end: that new people reliably land in your system, and that you always know who to contact, where you left things, and what comes next. Your relationships live in one place instead of in your head, and staying in touch becomes something that happens by rhythm, not by memory.

The finish line is the Show and Tell. You present to the group the system you built and the approach you defined with the experts, the one that is now yours. Every member’s looks different, because every member’s was built for them. That is the moment you see what you have made.

And it does not stop there. Most people start with a basic system and then refine it over time. Staying in Expert month to month means the experts keep helping you improve it and level it up as your business grows. No lock in, cancel any month.

Getting clients no longer runs on your memory or your mood. You open one place and see who you are in conversation with, where you left things, and who is due a warm follow up. New people land in your system on their own, and the relationships in it keep growing whether or not you are thinking about them.

Instead of doing outreach in bursts when work dries up, you have a steady rhythm that keeps the right work coming toward you. And you own a system you understand and can run yourself.

By the end you have, built and running, not just in theory:

  • Your own lead generation system, in your own tools, that you understand and can maintain
  • Your whole network in one place you trust, instead of scattered across five tools and your head
  • New contacts landing in your system without you chasing them
  • A clear entry point for new people to come into your world, with their permission
  • A weekly rhythm that keeps it alive in about thirty minutes
  • A way of reaching out that fits your personality and your values, so it stops feeling like a chore you avoid
  • And the Show and Tell: a system most consultants never manage to build, presented as yours

This is the founding rate: 3,500 euro for the full twelve week build, with a payment plan available.

It is a founding rate for a reason. You get the full team at the lowest price this will ever be, and in return you help us shape the Expert Membership as we build it with you. Once it is proven it moves to the full rate, and it does not come back down.

Every member is hand-picked.

IMMA isn’t a click-to-join community.

You apply, and we make sure it’s the right fit: for you, for the Collective, and for the kind of business development culture we’re building together.

IMMA is for you if…

  • You’re a freelancer, consultant, fractional or founder with deep expertise.
  • You’re building a purpose-driven business around meaningful work, not scale-at-all-costs.
  • You’d rather take imperfect action than wait for the perfect plan.
  • You want to build opportunities through relationships, visibility, and trust.
  • You share opportunities, make introductions, and learn alongside others.
  • You give first, share generously, and celebrate when others win.

It’s not for you if…

  • You’re looking for a quick fix or a copy-paste sales script.
  • You want leads handed to you without doing the relational work.
  • You’re building a business that needs a traditional scale-at-all-costs growth playbook.
  • You want to promote yourself without contributing to others.
  • You aren’t ready to show up consistently and build the practice.

Curious if IMMA is right for you?

Take the 3-minute quiz to see where you are, what’s holding you back, and which path inside the Collective fits you best.

Free. No commitment. Just a moment to reflect and get clarity — even if you don’t join.

Is IMMA right for my business?
The answers to all your questions…

IMMA Collective is a relational business development ecosystem for purpose-driven independents and small mission-driven teams.

We help members build a healthier flow of aligned opportunities through relationships, visibility, referrals, and strategic support — not through hustle, cold outreach, or constant self-promotion.

Most things happen on Circle, where members participate in weekly rituals, peer introductions, implementation sessions, and opportunity sharing. We also host live sessions across European and US time zones, plus occasional in-person gatherings.

The goal isn’t to give you more information.
The goal is to help you create more opportunities, more consistently, alongside people who understand the realities of building a purpose-driven business.

IMMA brings together with 10+ years of professional experience — though many are newer to working independently. You don’t need a decade of working for yourself behind you. You need a decade of expertise.

Members come from fields such as:

  • sustainability, circularity & climate adaptation
  • social impact, evaluation & nonprofit strategy
  • future foresight, systems change & innovation
  • organizational development & leadership
  • executive, team & transformational coaching
  • marketing, brand strategy, communications & PR
  • service design, UX, product & web design
  • digital strategy, data, tech & AI
  • operations, project management & fractional leadership
  • storytelling, facilitation, content strategy
  • ex-founders, advisors & senior specialists

Geographically, IMMA is primarily Europe (~60%) and the U.S. (~40%), with members across Latin America and Asia. Most work with internationally minded clients.

The members who thrive most inside IMMA are proactive, generous, and willing to build relationships before they need them.

Here is a short video in which members respond to the question ‘What makes a good IMMA member?’

Both build your business with senior peers, not alone. The difference is where you are in your business, and how much guidance you want as you grow.

Peer Membership is for you if:

  • You have a working business with clients coming in, but the moment delivery picks up, business development falls off and your pipeline goes quiet
  • You want a weekly structure that holds the time for outreach, follow-ups, and proposals so you stop slipping into the feast-and-famine cycle
  • You value being in a curated group of senior peers shaping the next era of impact work
  • You want access to an international Collective and the warm introductions, opportunities, and shared knowledge that flow through it

Expert Membership is for you if:

  • You want more strategic guidance, accountability, and expert feedback than Peer Membership provides.
  • You want to build the foundations that make your business run: a clear offer, an ideal client you know how to reach, pricing you own confidently, and proposals you can stand behind
  • You want a business development system that consistently creates opportunities: a clear offer, visibility that builds trust, a CRM that keeps relationships warm, and a sales process you can confidently follow.
  • You want a personalized experiment plan with Lilli that meets you where you are. Not a curriculum.

Expert Membership includes everything in Peer, plus 1:1 strategy with Lilli and implementation labs with IMMA’s experts. The experts don’t give you more information. They help you build the assets your business actually runs on: your LinkedIn, your website, your lead magnet, your proposals, your pricing.

Not sure which fits? Take the 3-minute quiz.

Through five connected systems, designed so you build a steady pipeline through relationships rather than hustle or cold outreach.

Referrals. The first thing you do when you join is make yourself easy to refer, so you can activate both your existing network and the IMMA Collective. We run monthly cross-pollination sessions where members get to know each other’s work and open doors.

Opportunities. Over 100 opportunities a month: contracts, RFPs, funding, grants, fellowships. All shared in the Collective. So you don’t have to spend hours searching for them online.

Peer promotion. We believe in peer promotion over self-promotion. We spotlights each other’s work: endorsements, intros, and visibility in rooms you’d never enter alone.

Outreach. We don’t do outreach for you. We help you get the clarity and build the systems, the assets, the templates, and the scripts that make your outreach work.

Clients coming to us. Increasingly, vetted organisations come to IMMA looking for senior, values-aligned independents. When we collect opportunities, we position IMMA as a collective and invite organisations to come directly to us. We connect them with the right member.

We don’t promise clients.

We help you build the relationships, visibility, systems, and confidence that make opportunities more likely to happen.
Our goal isn’t to make you dependent on IMMA for work.
Our goal is to help you build a business that can create opportunities long after your membership ends.

Not necessarily.

Some members join IMMA after years of professional experience but while they’re still building the foundations of their independent business.

What matters most isn’t how long you’ve been self-employed. It’s whether you have meaningful expertise that others are willing to pay for.

If you’re still figuring out your offer, positioning, pricing, or how to get your first independent clients, Expert Membership is usually the best fit. You’ll get strategic guidance, implementation support, and a personalised roadmap to help you build those foundations.

Peer Membership is designed for people who are already operating independently and want accountability, momentum, opportunities, and a trusted peer network to help them sustain and grow their business.

In short: you don’t need years of running a business behind you. You do need expertise, a willingness to take action, and a commitment to building your business intentionally.

IMMA isn’t a networking group. It isn’t a freelancer marketplace. And it isn’t a community built around endless conversation. It’s a Collective built around creating opportunities together.

Communities are large, open, and chat-focused. Freelancer platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal) treat you like a profile in a database. IMMA is small, curated, and built around getting clients together.

Three differences that matter:

Vetted on both sides. Members AND the organisations IMMA works with are carefully selected for experience, values, and reciprocity. When we share a member’s work with an organisation, IMMA’s reputation is on the line. That’s why we’re this curated.

Senior peer group. Members have 10+ years of professional experience, though many are newer to working for themselves. You don’t need a decade of working independently behind you. You need a decade of expertise.

The work happens in the room. Weekly sessions where outreach, follow-ups, and proposals get done with peers. Not another Slack channel you’d join and mute. Not a database of profiles waiting to be matched.

If you’re looking for quality over volume, depth over noise, and collaboration over competition, IMMA will feel different from anything else you’ve tried.

Don’t expect a loud or noisy Collective. Being in IMMA is doing the work, not just talking about it.

Peer Membership is €750 for 6 months. Expert Membership is €3,500 for 6 months at founding members pricing (future intakes will be higher). Both offer monthly instalments.

Is it worth the investment?

Only you can decide that.
What we can tell you is that members regularly make their investment back many times over.
Sometimes that’s through a single introduction, collaboration, proposal, or client conversation.

One member generated more than 80x their investment from a single trusted introduction. Others have raised their rates, won larger projects, secured long-term contracts, or built partnerships that continue generating work years later.

But that’s not the promise.
The promise is that you’ll stop building your business alone.
You’ll develop stronger business development habits, clearer positioning, better relationships, and a healthier flow of aligned opportunities.

For some members, the return is immediate.
For others, it compounds over months and years.

The value isn’t just in a single opportunity. It’s in building a business that becomes less dependent on luck and more capable of creating opportunities consistently.

Two ways in, depending on where you are:
If you already know IMMA is right for you: Join the waitlist.

  • Peer Membership opens quarterly. We open applications in December for Q1, March for Q2, June for Q3, and September for Q4. Capped at 20 spots per quarter.
  • Expert Membership is ongoing. We open spots when we have them. A 1:1 conversation with Lilli is part of joining, to make sure this is genuinely a fit for you.

If you’re not yet sure it’s the right fit: Take the 3-minute quiz to see which path fits you best — Peer, Expert, or whether IMMA is right for you at all.

We say no when the fit isn’t right. Not because people aren’t good enough, but because protecting the right mix is what keeps IMMA valuable for everyone inside.
